2020 ARA Rental Show: LEGO giveaways and Dynamics 365 cloud software offerings from ODT at Booth #3428
At Open Door Technology, we are excited to once again attend the upcoming ARA Rental Show which is a key event for many companies in the equipment rental space, both for suppliers and customers who need the latest and greatest for their own customers. At this year’s Show in Orlando, Florida, (February 10-12, 2020) we will showcase our latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud software offerings at Booth #3428 for managing the financial, rental, and service aspects of your business.
Our LEGO giveaways
Firstly, if you plan to attend the Show, let me encourage you to participate in the ARA Foundation Charity Auction. In recognition of the final release of Star Wars and the new Star Wars Park at Disney, we have managed to get our hands on the master version LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Millennium Falcon 75192 Building Kit with 7,542 pieces and are donating it to the auction! The record assembly time for a team is over eight hours. One gentleman who built it by himself took 34 hours. It is an amazing work of art and is arguably one of the best LEGO kits ever produced.
Also, be sure to visit our booth #3428 and enter our giveaway draw for the chance to win a LEGO Star Wars Kessel Run Millennium Falcon 75212 Building Kit with 1,414 pieces.
Dynamics 365 cloud software offerings
Microsoft is now two and a half years into its cloud or SaaS (Software as a Service) offering for the mid-market, Dynamics 365 Business Central. This product can be deployed in a SaaS, hosted, or on-premise environment. Those choosing SaaS will have their system automatically updated by Microsoft twice per year for little to no cost. See our previous blog here for more information on this topic.
For years the rental software space has been dominated by legacy competitors with many years of rental experience. Yes, they have lots of rental-specific features, but often have weak or non-existent offerings for other elements of your business, such as integrated financials, inventory, advanced inventory, manufacturing, payroll, projects, and other areas typically found in an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central offers a very capable and affordable ERP system for the mid-market space. While tier one competitors typically require a budget in excess of seven figures and years to implement, Business Central can be implemented in months for a fraction of the cost with similar functionality. If you find your business growing in areas other than rental or equipment service, having an ERP system provides assurance you won’t ever have to change systems, and having a Microsoft system means your system will always be kept up-to-date with the latest technology.
ODT Add-ons that cover all areas of your business
Open Door Technology’s apps provide fully integrated vertical options for rentals, service, planned maintenance, oilfield service tickets, and more. The availability of Power Apps offers highly configurable mobile options for your business for processing shipping, returns, and service tickets with the capability of capturing signatures and equipment pictures. Power BI is the industry’s most common business intelligence option for making the best use of critical information available from your system, whether in a desktop dashboard or on a mobile device.
