Working from home because of Covid-19? Microsoft is offering a six month free trial of the premium version of Microsoft Teams

Working from home as part of an extended team requires more tools than just Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Microsoft Teams is a leading choice for business chat and collaboration. It is available as part of the Microsoft Office 365 suite but the entry level system has limited features in the areas of scheduling and data storage. Teams Premium offers enhanced scheduling and meeting capability, as well as 1 TB of data storage.

Working from home during challenging times

According to JP Courtois from Microsoft, this is a health and safety move for employees, customers, partners, and communities. He said, “We hope that we can support public health and safety by making remote work even easier.” Read the full Microsoft article here to learn more about working remotely during challenging times.

Microsoft Teams is the successor to Skype for Business, which was purchased on May 10, 2011. Since then, they have improved Skype and rebranded it to become a hub for teamwork in the Office 365 product suite. The goal is to be able to “invite everyone you work with to chat, meet, call, and collaborate all in one place, no matter where you are.”

Six month free trial available now for premium version

Interested people can normally sign up with a free plan but, as mentioned above, a free six month trial is available for the premium version. Covid-19 won’t last forever but this offer can make your work-at-home experience much more productive.
